I'm figuring out if I want to use PTP Sequencer for a next big project at the place I work.
I like the product, but do not want to create a vendor-lockin situation. Now I'm evaluating with the free license, but I can not find how long this is valid, and what will happen after this time.
Also, if there are issues or requests for enhancement of the PTP sequencer code (which I cannot make, due to the block diagram password protection), how will these be handled?
Can anyone please clarify this?

PTP Sequencer V1.0 is currently free. It installs with a 30-day evaluation, after which you need a license to activate it. The license is also currently free, lasts indefinitely, and you can get one from our website (www.ptpsequencer.com). (Also, look out for upcoming videos on Installation & Licensing to show how to license PTP Sequencer)
Therefore you can create a LabVIEW based testing solution using PTP Sequencer without any worry of having to purchase licenses for either the development environment or for any deployed code. It's entirely free!
We are always open to suggestions for enhancements and bugs. PTP Sequencer V1.0 is the first release and as such is fairly new to the market, so some teething troubles might be to be expected. We work hard to ensure PTP Sequencer is bug free and will address any serious issues quickly, just contact us via the support webpage or this forum. We do plan for a V1.1 release in the not too distant future, and if enhancement requests are received in good time we will look to including these where reasonable :-)

There seem to be a free full version and a paid full version that can both be purchased from here : secure.softwarekey.com/solo/products/Product.aspx?ProductID=254488From your message I'm assuming that for now there is only one but you're planing to have a basic and a pro version, right? If so, what will be the differences between the 2? Cheers Antoibe

Hi Antoine,
The paid license is historical. Previously PTP Sequencer was a paid licensed product, with only a 30-day evaluation giving you a short time to test out the toolkit. Now the license is also absolutely free, so the whole toolkit is free, forever.
We are working on additional products and extras for PTP Sequencer, and as yet these plans are not defined. It may be that we include more paid for features to PTP Sequencer, or instead create a different paid-for toolkit that uses PTP Sequencer. In all cases, the existing PTP Sequencer toolkit will remain free.
